The little finger, also called the “pinky finger” or “baby finger”, is the smallest of the five fingers. It is closely related to the ring finger, as it shares the same nerve (the ulnar nerve). For example, if you move the little finger, their combined nerve will often try to move the ring finger too. Similarly with pain and pain-like sensations, they often go together. For example, a tingling pinky finger will often also have with it a tingling ring finger, although if you examine it closely, it’s probably only the half of the ring finger closest to the pinky that’s tingling. The ulnar nerve is the nerve that innervates the pinky finger and half the ring finger. Read more about: Fingers, Little Finger Symptoms, Finger Symptoms, Tingling Fingers, Ulnar Nerve
