Anxiety Disorders: Overview

Anxiety Disorders are mental health disorders involving excessive anxiety. Although some level of anxiety can be normal for a person, an abnormal amount of anxiety can occur, either too severe (panic attacks) or too often (chronic anxiety). Some examples of specific Anxiety Disorders include Generalized Anxiety Disorders (GAD), Obsessive-Computer Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder (Panic Attacks), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Social Phobia, and Phobias such as Agoraphobia.
