Candidiasis: Overview

Candidiasis is a fungal infection due to Candida. It commonly causes vaginal candidiasis (vaginal thrush), but may also affect the mouth region (oral candidiasis), male penis (penile candidiasis), or occur as an invasive form (systemic candidiasis; invasive candidiasis).
