Colon Cancer: Overview

Colon cancer is a cancerous tumor in the colon, also known as the bowel or the large intestine. Colon cancer is usually grouped with rectal cancer under the general name of Colorectal Cancer. Colon cancer is often diagnosed late, or misdiagnosed, which greatly reduces survival rates. Differential diagnosis includes forms of IBD such as Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, as well as other chronic disorders such as Celiac Disease; read more about Chronic Digestive Diseases.
