Diabetic heart disease refers to heart disease that arises as a complication of diabetes. It is a long-term complication of diabetes that typically arises over years. Heart disease is one of the top causes of death in diabetics, but itís also one of the most common causes of death in non-diabetics. Nevertheless, diabetics get it worse than non-diabetics, and heart complications of diabetes are one of its worse effects.
