Hyperlipidemia
Hyperlipidemia refers to high “lipids” in the blood stream. It is also often called “dyslipidemia” (meaning a dysfunction of lipids in the blood). The best-known type is hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol). Another example is hypertriglyceridemia (high triglycerides).
