Sinusitis: Overview

Sinusitis is the inflammation of the areas called the “sinuses”, which are cavities in the facial area, near the nose, cheeks, and forehead. Sinusitis is a common complication of a common cold. Symptoms include runny nose, nasal discharge, headache, and other symptoms. Treatment often requires antibiotics and decongestants, along with supporting treatments of its symptoms.
