Panic Overview

Panic is the symptom of extreme fear. Panic is a normal feeling in situations of extreme danger or stress. However, unreasonable panic and fear may indicate a panic attack (anxiety attack) and disorders such as Panic Disorder. Fear and panic may also occur in a patient as a reaction to a physical injury or other symptom such as pain. Panic needs to be distinguished from other similar symptoms such as agitation, aggression, delirium, hallucinations, psychosis, and so on. Read more about: Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Anxiety Disorders
